Turning Dirty Thirty

So I have now joined the 30's woooo hoooo.  The best part of turning 30 is that my insurance has given me the gift of a higher premium because I am in a new age bracket woo hoo thanks Healthnet for raising my premium another $100 plus dollars you are so thoughtful haha.  Ok now that I have vented over turning 30 I have to say I had a wonderful birthday.  My best girlfriends took me out to lunch and brought be such wonderful gifts then after my BF Mandi took me to get a pedicure that I absolutely enjoyed.  Thank you Mandi, Jamie, Tiff and Jackie for such a wonder ful birthday.

The next evening I had plans with my family to go out to Sushi and Teppan but my body had other ideas.  I got super sick the next morning and ended up going to the ER for 7 hours.  I thought I was going to die but I am fine now haha. So once I felt better that following Saturday my family got together and we had a wonderful dinner and again lots of great gifts.  Thanks you family I love you all so much and am so grateful for you all. 

So I had a wonderful 30th birthday......I am truly blessed to have such and amazing family and group of friends to grow and share these special occasions with...LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!!

Gavin's NEW Big Boy Room

So yes it is time for Gavin to keep growing up and not allowing mommy to be ready for it.  So a few weeks ago Gavin was showing us that he is getting too big for his crib....well that did not sit right with daddy and Papa so what happens...Papa goes out and buys him the big boy bed and of course it has to be a race car.  Not just a normal race car....... but a Lightening McQueen Race car.  I was so not ready for this moment....I didn't even have a week or a few days to get ready I pretty much had a few hours haha.

So I went with Papa to get the bed and daddy stayed home to take down his crib and get it ready for the new bed.   I was a little scared cause I didn't read up on sleep training and transitioning into a new bed but I once again blessed with a child that loves his sleep.  Gavin had no problems with his new bed and never once got out of it till we got him in the morning.  He still weeks later will wait for us to come open his door in the morning then he will climb out.  God I love this kid.

So below are a few pictures of his new room.  Of course once the bed came momma had to redo the entire room.  I am still not done but pretty much close.  I finally was able to get the ikea (Pinterest) shelves up for his reading corner, new toolbox dresser, cars organizer and am just waiting to finish is drapes.  Other than that the kid is set for a while in this room.  All I have to say is he better like Cars for a while haha.

Gavin loves his new room and I am so excited he likes it.  I just am not ready for him to grow up this fast I really wish there was a Pause Button in life cause I would be hitting it everyday.

Britney Is Part of the 100 Mile Club for 1st Grade

So all the schools around here and I know around So Cal are doing this thing called the 100 mile club during the school year.  It is a goal the kids are trying to achieve throughout the school year to reach 100 miles by graduation or end of the school year.  I am happy to say that Britney made it this year and got 105 miles.  I am so very proud of her. 

Britney was a little scared because she was going into the last week to run miles and she was 9 miles away, so she asked me if I would join her after school for their last family fun run night so she could get her miles in and of course I wouldn't say no.  So in two hours we got her 7 miles to add towards her goal.  Believe me if there was no time limit we would still be walking and running haha.  So by the next week she would only have to do 2 miles and she ended up doing 7 more on her own.  I am so proud of you Bear.....love you sooooo much!!

Carly did a great job this year as well she ended up doing 72 miles for Kindergarten....I guess you can say next year I will be helping out again to make sure Carly gets those miles and makes it to the 100 mile goal.

Time for a Change

I know it has been a bit since my last post so I am gonna try and get everything in that I can haha.  So last month my mom gave me an early birthday present which was a paid trip to the hair salon to see my friend Kellie.  I was so excited cause I hadn't gone to get my hair done since Nov so she was probably telling me in a nice way that I needed it done....and bad hahaha. 

So I booked a day with Kellie and I headed off to the salon.  I was really excited because I wanted to do something different cause I felt like I have been looking blah and the same for so long now.   So we came up with cutting my hair off.....haha ok not off but about 7-8 inches.   Here are the before and after and I am extremely excited with the cut and color I am gonna even go a bit shorter next time.

The Bunny Has Arrived

So this year we headed off to my sister's house to celebrate Easter with the family. We ate and ate and ate oh did I say we ate!!!! We had a little egg hunt and mainly got to hang out together and have fun. I love the holidays when the family can all be together and just spend time relaxing and having fun.   We missed you mom but glad you got to spend it with Grandpa!!!

Dying Easter Eggs

So last week I had my nieces for a few days.  My sister went away for her bday, my mom went to see grandpa and the kids were on Spring Break so we tried to have as much fun as we can.  We started off our days with coloring easter eggs.  They had so much fun and I of course had to take part so I could feel young again too haha.  Gavin finally woke up a little later and was able to dye some of his own as well.  I bought him a kit that was a little more toddler friendly.
